Audience Marketing Intern – Developer and Platform Evangelism Group

Drive effective execution of the Student and Faculty Marketing Plan and provide support for Senior Audience Marketing Managers in Campaign execution.  You will be goaled on the satisfaction scores achieved in a bi-annual survey to these audiences and proficiency in marketing execution.  Specific Responsibilities: Student
·         Build strong student communities both online and offline·         Manage the Microsoft Student Partners Program in key universities·         Manage Australia’s participation the Imagine Cup Global CompetitionFaculty
·         Drive Faculty and Student Access to Microsoft Technologies (MSDNAA)·         Promote awareness and drive in-class adoption of Microsoft Technologies ·         Grow and manage relationships with key Faculty Members and develop effective responses to their needs·         Track execution of depth faculty plan  Audience Marketing

  • Represent the academic community in Microsoft events and roadshows.
  • Provide cross group support for v-team project


·         Marketing planning and effective use of marketing tools to drive return on investment·         Presentation experience·         Experience running meetings·         Ability to interpret results and develop effective plans·         Desirable: Familiarity with the opportunities and challenges of the Australian Higher Education landscape

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:·          Problem Solving·         Creativity in relation to idea development, and approaches to unusual or difficult situations or problems.·         Ability to work in ambiguous situations·         Action Orientation and results driven·         Committed to self development·         Communication and Interpersonal Skills·         Technical passion in relation to their field of expertise
Likely Background  A suitable candidate would come from the following: ·         Business  Faculty – Completed a degree in Marketing or e-business·         Comparable Jobs – Marketing Assistant. It is anticipated that the suitable candidate would have a varied range of interests and activities. Further, that their academic results in key subjects are of high standard. A background in research or tutoring is desirable.
