Starbucks is shutting down 61 of it’s 84 stores in Australia this weekend. That means, it’s bye bye Starbucks in Chatswood, Martin Place, Victoria Cross, Wynyard in Sydney. The closure was due to underperformance operations. How is it possible? These joints are right smack in the centre of their locations.
Sigh. I’m lamenting about this notice only because it means less places for me to get cheap newspaper next time I’m in Sydney. At SGD $4.80 for a short coffee-milk beverage, Starbucks you are long overdue for a dose of reality in Singapore too! Over-priced coffee, not more!
