Google recently released a tool (Insights for Search), could help researchers track consumer activity and provide snapshots of economic change. Basically it allows the tracking of various words and phrases that people type into Google’s search box.
Now everyone can view its database of search requests (from 2004 – present) and discover the things that preoccupy individuals. These results can be filtered by cities, regions or countries at any time.
